Job summary

First Focus is Australia’s leading mid-market MSP, empowering clients to rethink operations with AI. We’re seeking an AI Consultant who can translate strategy into practical use cases and guide executive teams through impactful adoption.

You'll run discovery workshops, design AI roadmaps using OpenAI and Anthropic, and build trusted relationships with leadership and ops teams while staying ahead of new AI tech for real business value.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology consulting, digital transformation or AI advisory.
• Strong understanding of generative AI platforms, ideally OpenAI and/or Anthropic.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.
• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Confidence advising customers on AI governance, ethics and responsible adoption.
• Commercial thinking with the ability to balance innovation and practical business outcomes.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work independently.
• A genuine passion for learning because AI certainly isn't slowing down for anyone.

We're looking for an AI Consultant who can help Australian businesses move beyond the novelty and into the genuinely useful. Someone who's just as comfortable talking to a CEO about strategy as they are helping a team discover their first practical AI use case. Someone who's curious enough to keep learning because, let's be honest, the AI landscape changes more often than Melbourne's weather.
