Job summary

BridgeCore is building AI and automation for trade and field-service businesses in Australia. You will design, build, deploy and maintain AI solutions, taking a scoped problem from concept through production and owning it after go-live.

The role requires hands-on experience across workflows, AI tools, API integrations and cloud platforms, with a bias for practical, end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• End-to-end experience building workflows, automations or integrations, and supporting them post-launch.
• Practical use of AI-assisted dev tools to review, test and fix generated code.
• Experience with deployment and version control via GitHub.
• Knowledge of agentic AI concepts and when to avoid using an agent.
• Ability to integrate APIs, databases and third-party systems.

We build AI and automation for trade and field-service businesses — electrical, plumbing, construction. If that sounds like an interesting problem space, keep reading.

Why this role is a bigger deal than it looks

Trade and construction is the largest, most under-automated sector in the Australian economy — and post-AI, it's about to be one of the fastest-growing. Everyone's joking that the tradie is the rich man of the future. We think that's not entirely a joke, and we want to be part of building the technology layer underneath it.

This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity. You'll shape how we build, not just execute someone else's playbook.

What you'll actually do

You'll design, build, deploy and maintain the AI and automation solutions we deliver into client businesses - taking a scoped problem from concept through to production, and owning it after go-live. Think agentic AI workflows, systems integrations, and automations running quietly inside a client's day-to-day operations.

What we're looking for

We're not after a specialist in one narrow lane. We want someone with practical, hands‑on exposure across most of the areas below - confident enough to pick up the rest on the job:

• End-to-end experience building workflows, automations or integrations, and supporting them post-launch
• Practical use of AI-assisted dev tools (Claude Code, Codex or similar) — you can review, test and fix what they generate
• GitHub for deployment and version control
• Working knowledge of agentic AI — including knowing when not to use an agent
• API, database and third‑party system integration
• Hands‑on with a cloud platform (Azure, GCP or Cloudflare) — projects, app registrations, service accounts, auth
• Comfortable with containerised apps
• Solid grasp of security, privacy and credentials management
• A track record of figuring out unfamiliar tools without waiting to be trained
• Can explain technical things to non‑technical people

Bonus points if:

you've worked in or around trades, construction or field-service industries before, or you're familiar with job management platforms like Simpro, AroFlo, ServiceM8 or Ascora.
