We are seeking an experienced AI Architect / Data Lead to take ownership of data and AI architecture across a range of business initiatives.

This role will suit someone who combines strong technical architecture experience with the ability to lead data and AI strategy, engage with senior stakeholders and oversee the delivery of modern data platforms and AI solutions.

You will help shape the organisation's data and AI direction, identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with business requirements.

1.2 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise data and AI architecture.

• Define data and AI strategies, roadmaps and technical standards.

• Oversee the development of modern data platforms, data pipelines and integration solutions.

• Identify opportunities to implement AI, machine learning and Generative AI solutions across the business.

• Provide architectural guidance on cloud platforms, data engineering and AI technologies.

• Ensure data governance, security, quality and compliance standards are maintained.

• Work closely with business leaders, technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Lead and mentor data and AI teams, providing technical direction and support.

• Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that deliver business value.

• Support the end-to-end delivery of data and AI initiatives, from architecture through to implementation.

1.3 Key Requirements

• Significant experience in data architecture, solution architecture or a similar technical leadership role.

• Strong background in enterprise data platforms, data engineering and cloud architecture.

• Experience designing and implementing AI and machine learning solutions.

• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs and emerging AI technologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, integration and enterprise architecture principles.

• Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence senior stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences.
