Job summary

Department of Human Services in Australia is seeking experienced professionals for high-level case management of children from pre-birth to 17 years and their families. The position requires appropriate social work qualifications for AHP or equivalent for PO2, with options at AHP2 and PO2 levels.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification for AHP or related field with eligibility for professional membership.
• Appropriate tertiary qualification in community services, sociology, criminology, social sciences, human services or related field for PO2.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-level case practice and case management and working collaboratively with children from pre-birth to 17 years of age and their families through the provision of high quality and effective service delivery.
• Developing effective service responses that strengthen the safety of vulnerable children and their families.
• Identifying risks and assertively engaging vulnerable children from pre-birth to 17 years of age and their families at high risk of entering the child protection system through the provision of case planning, support and focussed interventions.
• Developing strong working partnerships with both government and non-government support services to effectively link children and their families to relevant services.
