Job summary

Target Business Services is seeking a proactive Logistics Analyst in Hay, NSW to join a diversified agribusiness. You will evaluate logistics, workflows and resource utilisation across cropping, livestock, feedlot and irrigation activities, and develop practical improvement plans.

Strong analytical ability and experience in logistics or operations analysis are essential to drive efficiency and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant logistics/operations analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in developing objectives and plans to improve efficiency of agricultural operations and resource utilisation.
• Analyze movement, availability and utilisation of agricultural inputs and operational resources across cropping, livestock, feedlot and irrigation activities.
• Review procurement, receipt, storage, allocation and use of farm inputs such as seed, fertiliser, chemicals, feed, fuel and irrigation materials.
• Evaluate systems, capabilities, structures and workflows coordinating agricultural activities and logistics functions.
• Analyze movement and handling of harvested produce, including collection, storage, preparation and movement of cotton and other products.
• Review processes for livestock and feedlot operations to improve coordination and utilisation of feed and related resources.
• Analyze seasonal requirements and resource allocation to aid planning during peak activity periods.
• Collect and analyse operational information to identify problems, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Advise management on recommendations to address inefficiencies and improve resource allocation.
• Monitor effectiveness of improvements by comparing outcomes to objectives and measures.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, Operations Management or related field

At least one year of relevant experience in logistics analysis, supply chain analysis, business improvement, operations analysis or a similar role
