Job summary

YANGTAI AUSTRALIA PTY LTD in Caboolture is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Analyst to support planning, analysis and optimisation of supply, inventory and distribution operations. You will work closely with the Director, customers and logistics providers to analyse demand, forecast needs, coordinate replenishment and improve efficiency across the supply chain.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven approach.
  • Good understanding of logistics, warehousing, freight and distribution processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer demand, historical orders and inventory to support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify stock requirements and shortages.
  • Review purchasing and supply requirements and help plan replenishment timing and quantity.
  • Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate deliveries based on warehouse capacity.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners for timely movement of goods.
  • Review movements from suppliers through receiving, warehousing and distribution for improvements.
  • Analyze supply chain processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare supply chain analysis, reports and recommendations for management.
  • Propose improvements to inventory, purchasing, logistics and distribution workflows.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to understand demand and delivery requirements.

We work with customers, suppliers and logistics partners in Australia and overseas to provide reliable products and supply solutions to the agricultural and related industries.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in Caboolture.

About the role

This is a hands-on supply chain role supporting the planning, analysis and optimisation of our supply, inventory and distribution operations.

Working closely with the Director, customers, suppliers and logistics providers, you will analyse supply chain and inventory information to support demand forecasting, replenishment planning, purchasing, inbound logistics and distribution activities.

You will also analyse current supply chain processes, identify operational gaps and opportunities, and provide practical recommendations to improve the efficiency, reliability and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyse customer demand, historical orders and inventory levels to support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify stock requirements, potential shortages and replenishment needs.
  • Review purchasing and supply requirements and assist with planning the timing and quantity of replenishment.
  • Monitor incoming shipments and container schedules and assist with planning deliveries based on warehouse capacity and operational requirements.
  • Analyse transport and delivery requirements and coordinate with freight forwarders, trucking providers and other logistics partners to support the timely and efficient movement of goods.
  • Review and evaluate the movement of products from suppliers through receiving, warehousing and distribution to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse supply chain processes and identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare supply chain analysis, reports and recommendations for management review and decision-making.
  • Recommend improvements to supply chain methods, procedures and workflows across inventory, purchasing, logistics and distribution activities.
  • Work closely with customers and suppliers to understand demand, availability and delivery requirements and incorporate relevant information into supply chain planning.
  • Assist with the implementation of approved improvements to inventory, purchasing, logistics and distribution processes and monitor their effectiveness.
What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, inventory or distribution.
  • Experience working with inventory, purchasing, demand forecasting or supply planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse information, identify gaps and supply chain requirements, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Good understanding of logistics, warehousing, freight and distribution processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the agricultural, manufacturing or import/export sector will be highly regarded.
