Job summary

SGS Australia is seeking a motivated Inspector in Victoria to conduct inspections of agricultural commodities for export and domestic trade. This hands-on role ensures compliance with industry and government requirements.

You will prepare clear inspection reports, liaise with customers to meet their needs, and maintain up-to-date skills and qualifications for the job. This position is based in Victoria and involves field inspections.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience or knowledge within the agricultural industry, commodity inspection, export services or a related sector is highly regarded.
• Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 and BVI3001 accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade shipments.
• Perform export commodity inspections under Trade Assurance Services contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Complete accurate inspection reports within required timeframes.
• Liaise with customers to understand and meet their inspection requirements.
• Maintain and develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role.
