Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Field Assistant (Grain & Seed) for Horsham, Victoria. The role blends manual quality inspection and warehouse operations to identify defects, remove contaminants, and document samples accurately.

The position offers 25–30 hours per week (flexible/seasonal) with a pay rate of $36.81 per hour plus super. You will work in a dusty environment, lifting up to 15 kg and adhering to safety and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 12–15 kg regularly.
• Strong focus for sorting thousands of grains.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Clear communication within a small team.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Quality Inspection: sort grain to identify defects.
• Contaminant Removal: remove foreign matter like stones and insects.
• Sample Preparation: bag, label and organize samples for testing.
• Physical Stock Movement: move bags up to 15kg and palletize stock.
• Data Entry: keep basic records of findings.
• Biosecurity & Hygiene: maintain a sterile environment and clean equipment.
