Job summary

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist older residents across Western Sydney, including Blacktown and Parramatta. You will help clients live independently at home, providing transportation, daily living support and personal care with a person-centred approach.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in a similar role, a Certificate III in Individual Support, a current First Aid/CPR certificate, a valid NSW driver's licence, and be willing to obtain required

Qualifications

• Provide transportation for medical appointments, access community events or services.
• Assisting participants with daily living activities and day to day support.
• Assisting with personal care.
• Providing support in a manner that is consistent and encourages and motivates the client to meet their goals and independent skills building, through person centred practices.
• Maintaining accurate records and safe practices.
• Maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities.
