Job summary

MannaCare in Manningham, VIC seeks a reliable Maintenance Officer to support our residential care facilities on a casual basis with potential for permanency. You will handle day-to-day maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure our environments are safe, comfortable and well-presented for residents, staff and visitors.

The role reports to the Assets and Facility Manager and involves coordinating with external contractors, prioritising tasks and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification or more than 5 years’ experience in commercial or aged care facility maintenance.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Current NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and carry out routine inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate with external contractors when required.
• Ensure a safe, comfortable and well-presented environment for residents, staff and visitors.
