Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT's Santa Monica Village in Manly Vale is seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer to work part-time in Retirement Living Units. You will perform basic maintenance repairs, garden upkeep, and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the site.

This 24 hours per fortnight role offers hands-on work and opportunities to contribute to a well-maintained environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Good all round handyman skills are required to maintain gardens and lawns.
• Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building tasks.
• Enjoy independent work and take pride in a well-kept environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic maintenance repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Perform gardening and lawn maintenance (mowing, hedging, sweeping).
• Undertake preventative maintenance per calendar and respond to reactive maintenance needs.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the site.
