Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT in Maroubra NSW is seeking a part-time Maintenance Officer to join our aged care and retirement living community. The role covers general maintenance, minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry, plus grounds care and preventative maintenance across campus.

The Role

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across our aged care and retirement living community, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Maintain attractive and safe outdoor areas through lawn mowing, hedging, gardening, and general grounds maintenance.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to keep our buildings, equipment, and assets in excellent condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve repairs efficiently.
• Help ensure our facilities meet safety and regulatory standards while contributing to a positive Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
