Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland – Townsville QLD is seeking a reliable Environmental Services Worker - Kitchen Hand on a casual basis to support kitchen and dining operations. You’ll help with meal prep, service, and maintaining hygiene, working as part of a caring team in a not-for-profit aged care setting.

The role values a practical, detail-oriented person with good communication and a willingness to learn across multiple service areas.

Qualifications

• Reliability and team focus are essential to support across service areas.
• Basic computer skills and compliance with checks and first aid requirements.
• Certificate II in Cookery or similar is valued but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic meal preparation and keep kitchen clean and hygienic.
• Support meal service including setup and dining area cleanup.
• Ensure equipment/work areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain high service standards.
