Job summary
RDNS Your Choice HomeCare is seeking a Home Care Support Worker to assist elderly clients in Newtown and surrounding suburbs. The role covers domestic tasks, personal care, and companionship, with travel between client sites and flexible hours to suit a coordinating schedule.
Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support and at least 12 months of home care experience, a valid licence, and up-to-date First Aid, CPR and Police Check.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or similar.
- Minimum 12 months of home care experience (aged care or in-home support).
- Disability support experience alone does not meet the requirements.
- Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel up to 30 minutes; own car required.
- Current First Aid, CPR and Police Check.
Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance: light housekeeping, meal prep, ironing and laundry.
- Personal care: dressing, grooming, showering, toileting, nutrition support.
- Transport and mobility: accompany clients to appointments and activities using a vehicle.
- Provide companionship and engage in friendly conversations with elderly clients.
- Ensure safety and comfort; report changes or concerns to supervisor.
