Job summary

Respect Group Limited is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our regional aged care team. You’ll work with our Chef to prepare and serve meals, maintain food safety, and help keep kitchens and dining areas running smoothly.

Based in a regional community, you’ll be part of a supportive, values-led not-for-profit culture that offers meaningful career pathways and the chance to contribute to residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Check/NDIS (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
