Job summary

Mercy Health in Myrtleford is seeking an experienced Cook to join our aged care facility at Myrtleford Lodge. You will prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary needs, ensuring high quality and resident satisfaction while maintaining strict food safety standards.

We value compassionate, team-focused individuals who can collaborate with dietitians and staff, mentor junior kitchen team members, and help manage menus, stock, and waste. A current Police Check may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualification as a Cook with Certificate III Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Significant experience in commercial cooking.
• Ability to follow dietary requirements for aged care residents.
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals per aged care dietary requirements and menus.
• Maintain a clean kitchen in line with food safety standards.
• Prepare and serve meals for residents with special diets.
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation, and waste management.
• Mentor kitchen assistants when required.
