Mercy Health in Myrtleford, VIC is seeking an experienced Cook to join our aged care facility at Myrtleford Lodge. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences in a supportive team environment.

Ideal applicants will hold a Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery (minimum) with substantial experience in commercial cooking, a compassionate approach to resident care, and the ability to work collaboratively with dietitians and facility staff.

Formación

• Relevant qualification as a Cook (Minimum requirement, Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery).
• Significant experience in commercial cooking.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective resident care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Evidence of, or in the process of obtaining, a current Police Check.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to aged care dietary requirements, menus and resident preferences.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.
• Ensure texture-modified, diabetic and allergen-free meals are prepared and served as required.
• Store food in temperature controlled facilities.
• Collaborate with dietitians and facility staff to ensure meal quality and care plan compliance.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen assistants or food service staff when required.
• Participate in stock ordering, rotation, menu planning and waste management.
