Job summary

Yackandandah Health is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Catering Team on a Part-Time basis in Victoria. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, meet dietary needs, and support daily dining with safe food handling.

The role requires 1–2 years’ aged care cookery experience, a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, and willingness to obtain an NDIS check and Food Safety Supervisor course. Email applications to [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ cookery experience in aged care or residential settings.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is mandatory.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
• Food Safety Supervisor Course desirable or willing to obtain.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with dietary requirements and menu plans.
• Maintain food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques.
• Contribute to menu planning and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
• Support kitchen operations, including stock control and ordering.
• Work collaboratively to ensure timely meal service.
