Job summary

Hiring4Health in Australia seeks a Nurse Manager with APHRA registration and at least three years’ experience in aged care, preferably in residential or community settings, with supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge of AN-ACC and vaccination requirements is essential.

The role involves leading care teams, ensuring clinical care aligns with policy and standards, and guiding staff through shift startups with clear duties and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Aged Care, preferably in residential and/or community setting in a supervisory or management level position.
• Ability to understand AN-ACC (Australian National Aged Care Classification).
• Must have all Current COVID Vaccination and current Influenza Vaccination.
• Current National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leadership skills with experience in managing people.
• Effective communication, negotiation, consultation, facilitation, presentation and coaching using interpersonal skills.
• Provide clinical care in accordance with best practice, policy, legislation and standards.
• Provide clear direction and priorities to care staff and nurses.
• Ensure new shifts have clear instructions on areas and duties.
• Assist team members to prioritise and delegate with diverse workloads.
• Address uncertainty to keep team focused.
• Support staff performance through probationary reviews and annual appraisals with constructive feedback.
