Job summary

Bayton is looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners to join our aged care team in Algester. This casual role offers flexible shifts and a chance to contribute to residents' well-being in a safe, welcoming home.

You will clean resident rooms and common areas, follow infection control, and report safety concerns while working with a supportive team. Prior cleaning, especially in aged care, and valid screening are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, aged care experience preferred.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain one.
• Meet compliance requirements including National Police Check and influenza vaccination.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Reliability and punctuality; works well independently or in a team.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understands resident dignity, hygiene and presentation in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, living and dining areas.
• Maintain communal and high-traffic areas.
• General cleaning of floors, surfaces, kitchens and common areas.
• Rubbish removal and restocking supplies.
• Follow infection control, hygiene and safety requirements.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with movement of equipment and stock as required.

This is more than just keeping a facility clean. You’ll play an important part in creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming home for residents, while working alongside a friendly, team-focused crew.

Key responsibilities:

As part of our aged care cleaning team, you’ll help maintain a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, living and dining areas
• Maintaining communal and high-traffic areas
• General cleaning of floors, surfaces, kitchens and common areas
• Rubbish removal and restocking supplies
• Following infection control, hygiene and safety requirements
• Reporting maintenance or safety concerns
