Job summary

Regis is seeking chefs for Queensland Aged Care locations to lead premium meal services, menu planning, and catering operations. The role focuses on residents' daily meals, quality service, and continuous improvement within a supportive, safety-conscious team.

Two years' experience in commercial catering or aged care is preferred, with Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery advantageous. Flexible locations across QLD; background checks and NDIS screening required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in commercial catering or Aged Care.
• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or experience as a Chef in Aged Care would be advantageous.
• Trade Qualifications and understanding of special dietary needs.
• Understand the impact of food cost management.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Exceptional customer service mindset.
• Strong personal presentation and grooming skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and delivery of premium meal service, including menu planning and catering.
• Infrastructure management, ordering, and cost control.
• Production and delivery of high-quality meals.
• Maintain service excellence across the dining experience.
• Communicate with residents and families as needed.
• Provide guidance to kitchen staff for smooth operations.
