Job summary

Symmetry Human Resources is recruiting for a Shift Supervisor at a Kings Park site in Sydney, NSW. The role leads the production team on the afternoon shift, ensuring targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met while maintaining a positive workplace culture.

You will oversee daily production activities, machine performance, and changeovers, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within plastics or manufacturing.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a production team.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
• Hands-on approach to production management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, allocate and supervise production staff across the shift.
• Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
• Maintain safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Monitor machine performance, changeovers and downtime.
• Record quality and non-conformance documentation.
• Support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive team environment.
