Job summary

We are seeking two experienced Shift Supervisors to lead production operations at a high-volume blow moulding facility in Pemulwuy, NSW. Day shift 7am–3pm and Night shift 11pm–7am.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee production activities, ensure equipment performance, quality, safety compliance and achieve daily targets. Qualifications

• Experience in plastics processing, blow moulding or injection moulding.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automated lines.
• Experience in food-grade / regulated environments.
• Understanding of WHS, Quality and Food Safety requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive production outcomes.
• Positive, hands-on communicator with coaching abilities.
• Role in a newly built, purpose-designed facility.

Responsibilities

Our client is a leading plastic packaging manufacturer, supplying food-grade containers to major dairy and beverage brands across Australia. The business has recently invested in a brand-new, purpose-built blow moulding facility in Pemulwuy, NSW, positioning it among the most advanced sites globally.

About the Role

We are seeking an 2 experienced Shift Supervisors to lead production operations across a high-volume blow moulding manufacturing facility. Day shift 7am - 3pm and Night shift 11pm - 7a. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all production activities and personnel on shift, ensuring equipment performance, product quality, safety compliance, and achievement of daily production targets.

This role is ideally suited to a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong technical capabilities in plastics processing, blow moulding, injection moulding, or a similar automated production environment. You will combine people leadership with technical troubleshooting expertise, ensuring production equipment operates at optimal efficiency while supporting and developing your team.

Duties

• Lead and support the production team on shift

• Troubleshoot equipment faults and coordinate maintenance support

• Monitor waste, scrap, and operational efficiencies
• Complete shift handovers and production reportsManage rosters and overtime requirements

Skills / Experience

• Background in plastics processing, blow moulding, injection moulding.
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environments
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines
• Experience within food-grade, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Sound understanding of WHS, Quality, and Food Safety requirements
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive production outcomes
• Positive, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills
