Job summary

JBS Australia in Wacol is seeking a Machine Operator for the afternoon shift in the Packaging Department. The role involves safely operating production and packaging equipment, completing changeovers, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Training will be provided on-the-job to build confidence with the required machinery and processes.

The successful candidate will join a permanent, full-time position and contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in food manufacturing or packaging.
• Experience operating production equipment and following procedures.
• Willingness to complete training and competency assessments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor production and packaging machinery.
• Complete machine changeovers and basic adjustments.
• Identify and respond to machine faults.
• Maintain compliance with product quality and food safety standards.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
• Work with the Smallgoods Pack team to meet production targets.
• Maintain work area according to hygiene and safety requirements.
