Job summary

Andrews Meat is seeking a Machine Operator for the Afternoon Shift in the Packaging Department at our Wacol site. You will operate and monitor production and packaging equipment, ensuring quality, safety and production targets are met.

On-the-job training will equip you with the required machinery knowledge, with opportunities to develop your machine operating skills within an established Australian meat processing business.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or similar production environment.
• Experience operating production equipment.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and complete written documentation.
• Availability for afternoon shift work.
• Current or valid food handling certification (if required).
• Willingness to complete training and competency assessments as part of role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor production and packaging machinery
• Complete machine changeovers and basic adjustments
• Identify and respond to machine faults
• Maintain compliance with product quality and food safety standards
• Complete required production and quality documentation
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Work with the Smallgoods Pack team to meet production targets
• Maintain work area according to hygiene and safety requirements
