Job summary

Mploy HR Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Machine Operator for a busy food manufacturing facility in Oakleigh South, VIC. The role involves operating production machinery, weighing ingredients, monitoring temperatures and quality, and maintaining a clean workspace.

The position starts ASAP on a casual basis with a view to permanency. Training is provided: first 2–4 weeks mornings 6:00 AM–1:30 PM at $33.85/hr + Super, then afternoons 1:30 PM–9:00 PM at $38.93/hr + Super.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cooking or food production.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and batch instructions.
• Physically fit for manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food products according to recipes and production schedules.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
• Operate and monitor cooking and production equipment.
• Monitor cooking temperatures, times and product quality.
• Complete quality checks and production records.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and GMP requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised production area.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitising equipment.
• Work with the production team to meet daily targets and requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking reliable Production Operators. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with experience in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing or a similar production environment.

Monday to Friday

8-hour shifts

$39.07 per hour + Super

Ongoing casual position

Full training provided

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production equipment within

Prepare, weigh and handle materials according to production requirements.

Follow batch instructions, GMP, safety and quality procedures.

Perform in-process quality checks and complete production documentation.

Monitor production processes and report any equipment or quality issues.

Maintain clean and hygienic production areas and equipment.

Work with the production team to meet daily targets while maintaining quality standards.

About You

Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing or production is highly regarded.

Strong understanding of quality, safety and hygiene requirements.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

Able to follow detailed procedures and production instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive and manual tasks.
