Job summary

Transmin Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to drive the Aftermarket Service department across mining, minerals processing and materials handling sectors. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, own the P&L and shape the future of the service business.

You will manage service strategy, quotes, relationships, and reporting while ensuring WHSE and quality standards are met. Domestic and occasional overseas travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical, mechanical engineering or service management role.
• Experience growing fixed mechanical equipment service, repairs and maintenance.
• Strong network in mining, minerals processing, civil construction or materials handling is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Developing strategies to grow the service department through rebuild, repair and maintenance work.
• Own the P&L for the service business unit, including sales, margin and net profit targets.
• Approve service job quotes, proposals and commissioning reports.
• Lead and develop a technical service team, identifying skills gaps and delivering training.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and present competitive proposals to new and existing clients.
• Plan and complete service sales trips to grow the business and strengthen client relationships.
• Drive WHSE and quality standards across all service activities.
• Use CRM and ERP systems to manage the sales pipeline and support reporting.
