Job summary

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) invites applications for the After Hours Nurse Manager on our Acute Ward. This 0.7 FTE, permanent part-time role coordinates clinical services in the absence of the Acute Services Manager, ensuring patient care, staffing, safety and security across the organisation.

Requirements include five years post-basic RN experience, readiness for a post-graduate qualification, and strong leadership with collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse qualifications with five years post-basic clinical experience.
• Post graduate clinical or management qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Contemporary clinical knowledge and experience in an acute setting and knowledge of residential aged care nursing.
• Ability to lead a professional team with a commitment to collaborative practice and productive working relationships.
• Intermediate IT skills, inclusive of email, internet, databases and word processing.
• Evidence of ongoing clinical practice development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical services across the organisation in the absence of the Acute Services Manager and Director of Clinical Operations.
• Assume overall responsibility of the organisation, ensuring appropriate patient care, staffing, safety and security.
