Job summary

Sydney Swans in Sydney is seeking a Performance Analysis specialist to turn complex data into actionable insights for coaches and players. You will work closely with coaches, analysts and support staff to enhance decision-making processes around training and game plans.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum bachelor’s degree in a sports or data-related field, 2+ years in elite sport analysis, strong statistics background, and advanced computer/data skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a sports or data related field.
• 2+ years’ experience working in a Performance Analysis role in elite sport is desirable.
• Experienced statistical background.
• Advanced computer and data skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain analysis procedures for KPIs and Game Plan data.
• Deliver Opposition Analysis weekly to coaches.
• Monitor databases to store and interrogate performance data.
• Produce weekly reports and data visualizations from relevant data sources.
• Utilize presentation tools to elevate feedback and learning.
• Support the Analysis internship program and guide interns.
