Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies in Queensland invites experienced Manufacturing Technician - Structures to join our space hardware team. You will assemble, modify, repair and install launch vehicle structural components and work with sheet metal fabrication equipment to meet engineering specifications.

You'll contribute to a high‑velocity, safety‑driven environment, perform in-process inspections, and collaborate with Engineering, Planning and Quality teams to deliver reliable spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, marine or automotive industry.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Planning and Manufacturing teams.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, repair and install launch vehicle structural components.
• Use sheet metal and fabrication machinery to cut, bend, form, punch or stamp.
• Align, fit, shim, and trim parts to engineering specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with regulatory obligations.
