Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies in Australia is seeking a Manufacturing Technician - Mechanical to join our rocket manufacturing team between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. You will prepare, assemble, test, and integrate flight hardware using calibrated tools in a state-of-the-art facility designed for in-house rocket production.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems, high-pressure fluids, and precision measurement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Marine or Automotive industries.
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, assemble, test, and integrate development and flight equipment and hardware
• Fabricate, repair, and assemble hardware/equipment as needed
• Perform post-test operations and inspections for flight-worthiness
• Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, micrometres, callipers
• Work with large and small fragile assemblies
• Operate and maintain high-pressure systems and pumps
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs and models for dimensional accuracy
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Manufacturing teams
