Job summary

RFDS South Eastern Section is seeking a Line Pilot based in Broken Hill, NSW, to support 24/7 emergency aeromedical retrievals and patient transfers to remote parts of Australia, delivering clinicians and essential equipment where they’re needed most.

The role requires an Australian CPL with ATPL subjects (F‑ATPL), MECIR, and 2,500 hours total time including 2,000 hours PIC. Relocation assistance and a competitive salary package are on offer, with rosters published in advance.

Qualifications

• Australian CPL with ATPL subjects (F‑ATPL) and Class 1 medical.
• Minimum 2,500 hours total time; 2,000 hours PIC; 500 hours PIC multi‑engine; 100 hours night; 100 hours instrument.
• Work rights: Australian citizenship, permanent residency or an approved work visa.
• Desirable: single‑pilot experience; remote area flying; turbine time; 24‑hour shift experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct emergency aeromedical retrievals and patient transfers across remote NSW.
• Operate safely and efficiently to deliver clinicians and critical equipment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain operational readiness.
