Job summary

Service Stream is expanding its Defence division and seeks an Aerodrome Reporting Officer to support airbase operations at RAAF Woomera. The role emphasizes inspections, NOTAM management, FOD control, and coordination with BST providers to ensure safety and compliance.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations) and hold current Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer (WSO) certifications, with ASIC and AROC credentials, and readiness

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role or a relevant aviation certificate.
• Demonstrates flexibility and prioritisation of tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and corrective action implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and maintain reporting/documentation for airbase operability and certification.
• Manage aerodrome data updates, manifests, NOTAMs, and regulatory protocols.
• Draft and monitor NOTAMs to meet safety standards.
• Perform FOD sweeping and maintain FOD register.
• Coordinate maintenance and liaise with service providers for safe operations.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance activities.
• Investigate incidents and report outcomes to Aerodrome Operators.

Responsibilities

• Conducting inspections and maintaining reporting and documentation to support airbase operability and certification.
• Managing Aerodrome data updates, aircraft manifests, NOTAMs, and OLS impacts, CASA, and Defence protocols.
• Drafting and monitoring NOTAMs to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Completing FOD Sweeping activities ensuring the movement areas are free of debris.
• Maintaining FOD register.
• Coordinating AO maintenance and liaising with BST providers for safe operations.
• Supporting internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigating incidents and security breaches, reporting outcomes to Aerodrome Operators.
• Performing sweeping, mowing / slashing / brush cutting duties across airside operational zones and surrounding critical airside infrastructures.
• Conducting hazard inspections and manage wildlife, environmental, and maintenance risks.
• Managing of pedestrian and vehicle movements, including escorting duties.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role, or a Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations).
• Current certification as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer (WSO).
• Valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate (AROC) for airport radio communications.
• Flexible, adaptable, and effective at prioritising tasks.
• Skilled in problem-solving and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to operate small power tools.
• Comfortable driving 4WD vehicles and Trailers.
• You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
