Job summary

Pilot Assessments in Australia seeks a detail-oriented aviation pilot to execute precision aerial LiDAR surveys. You will plan and fly missions under varied conditions, monitor weather, NOTAMs, and airspace constraints, and deliver high-fidelity data while coordinating with ATC and ground crews.

The role requires Australian CPL with MEIR, Class 1 medical, 500 flight hours (50 multi-engine), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Australian CPL (Aeroplane) with MEIR (Aeroplane) and Class 1 Aviation Medical.
• Minimum 500 total flight hours and 50 multi-engine hours.
• Confident operating in Primary Control Zones (Class C & D).
• Experience in survey or special mission operations is highly regarded.
• Willingness to work a 16 on / 12 off roster with 4 standby days.
• Reside within 2 hours of a major Australian city airport.
• Detail-oriented, safety-focused and collaborative with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute aerial survey missions to LiDAR capture specifications.
• Monitor weather, NOTAMs, and conditions to ensure safe flights.
• Capture and deliver precise LiDAR data and imagery.
• Coordinate with air traffic services in congested airspace.
• Inspect aircraft, powerplant, systems, and mission equipment pre/post-flight.
• Maintain aircraft performance within system envelope per sortie.
• Keep aircraft and mission kit organized and flight-ready.
• Submit daily operational reports to stakeholders.
• Comply with aviation regulations and Company Operations Manual.
• Complete company documentation within required timeframes.
