Job summary

Macquarie Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced engineering leader to head the content platform team. You will guide design, code reviews, and production support while steering the active migration and modernisation programme.

Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to shape the platform's future, mentor engineers, and drive platform reliability in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in content management or content platform engineering.
• Adobe Experience Manager experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and prioritize effectively.

What role will you play?

In this role you will lead the engineering team responsible for our content platform, providing technical direction while remaining hands-on with design, code reviews and production support. You will work closely with Product and engineering teams across the organisation, helping shape the platform’s future while guiding the team through an active migration and modernisation programme. You will also support and mentor engineers, drive platform reliability, and help define how the team plans and delivers its work.

What You Offer

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean design, code quality and the ability to work effectively with changing priorities and requirements.
• Experience in content management or content platform engineering; Adobe Experience Manager experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, setting technical direction and taking ownership of platform reliability.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and competing priorities, with a proactive approach to identifying and driving solutions.
• Confidence working collaboratively with Product and other stakeholders, including discussing and resolving technical differences.
