Effective People is seeking an AO5 Advisor to support community and stakeholder engagement for state road infrastructure projects in Nerang, QLD. This hybrid, full-time role spans strategic communications, public affairs and hands-on delivery of engagement activities.

You will plan engagement, manage stakeholder relationships, and develop communication strategies while producing media releases and project collateral.

• Coordinated community or stakeholder engagement on complex public-facing projects.
• Develop practical communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Advised project leaders on sensitive stakeholder or communication issues.
• Produced clear project collateral and public-facing communications.
• Worked across media, issues management or crisis communications.
• Able to build productive relationships with communities and senior stakeholders.
• Able to complete a National Police Check.

AO5 Advisor - Stakeholder and Community Engagement - Infrastructure & Transport

Location: Nerang, QLD
Contract: Approx. 6 months, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Pay: $77.52 to $84.10 p/h including super
Work type: Full-time
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basis
Police check: A National Police Check is required

About the Role

Join our State Government client as an AO5 Advisor supporting community and stakeholder engagement across road infrastructure projects. You will help project leaders plan engagement, manage stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly with communities. The role combines strategic communications, public affairs, media and issues management with hands-on delivery of project materials and engagement activities.

• You can complete a National Police Check

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

• Road infrastructure or transport project experience
• Queensland Government stakeholder engagement experience
• Experience preparing ministerial briefings or media releases
• Experience planning launches, media opportunities or community events
