Job summary

Ambulance Victoria (AV) is seeking an Advisor Human Resources (Part Time 0.45FTE). The role reports to the Senior People Partner and is based with a hybrid model at Blackburn North.

You will provide expert HR services, support managers and employees on employment matters, and drive change across a large, geographically dispersed organisation. Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR services including advice, support, guidance and analysis on policies, practices and legislation.
• Coach, counsel and support managers and employees on employment matters, including workplace conflict, grievances and performance management.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed during projects and consultations.
• Support projects and organisational initiatives with HR expertise and recommendations.

While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North (soon to be Doncaster) in line with our hybrid working model.About the roleReporting to the Senior People Partner, responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:Provide professional and effective HR services across AV, including advice, support, guidance and analysis on people policies, practices, and employment legislationCoach, counsel and support managers and employees on employment matters, and complex people issues, including workplace conflict, grievances, misconduct and performance managementProvide HR expertise and recommendations, to support projects, organisational initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesDevelop and implement communication and consultation strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout projects and consultationsAbout youThe ideal candidate will have tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline with proven relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Additional requirements include but not limited to:Proven experience in a senior general or specialist HR role, preferably across the public sector with demonstrated ability to adapt theoretical knowledge of current HR issues and lead implementation of change across a large, geographically disparate organisationExtensive working knowledge and application of general and specialist HR practices, regulations, and legislation including previous experience in coaching and supporting managers, leaders and employees with conflict resolution, grievances and managing performanceDemonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal and relationship building skillsHighly proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and OutlookWorking at Ambulance VictoriaAs a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
