Job summary

Townsville City Council is seeking a Librarian Adult Services to shape engaging, inclusive library experiences for the Townsville community. You will lead planning, evaluation and continuous improvement of adult library services, programs and spaces, aligning with community needs and lifelong learning.

Working with partners and staff, you’ll deliver high-quality services, events and collections, influencing how library services evolve and how residents access information and learning

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience planning and delivering library, learning, community or cultural programs.
Strong skills in service development, stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Excellent communication, partnership-building and inclusive, customer-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, evaluation and continuous improvement of adult library services, programs and spaces.
Deliver high-quality services, events and collections that enhance customer experience.
Contribute to strategic planning and innovation in library services.
