Job description

We're excited to welcome an Administration Officer to our Endoscopy Unit.


The Administration Officer provides a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Health Endoscopy Service. This position is a key point of contact for patients, clinicians and external stakeholders, supporting procedure bookings, waitlist and surveillance management, patient reception, admissions and discharges and day-to-day administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.

  • Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.

  • Provide advice and support in the admission and discharge planning process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients presenting to the Sunshine Coast Health.

  • Undertake “cultural assessment/risk screening” to identify patient needs and optimise the patient's recovery / outcomes on discharge from the acute care setting.


Remuneration value up to $103,600 p.a., comprising salary between $81,649 - $90,801 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
