Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Administration Officer in Williamstown, SA to support the Service Manager with daily administrative tasks. You will be the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, providing courteous reception and rostering of staff at the facility.

Key duties include facilitating communication for office admin needs, maintaining clerical and data storage, and delivering timely support to managers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or aged care setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Roster Management and Finance Management.
  • High level of interpersonal, organisational & communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High attention to detail and knowledge of roster planning.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience in Aged Care or Health environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A sense of empathy and compassion for elderly residents and their families.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality around client data records.

About the opportunity:

This role will support the Service Manager in a range of day to day administrative and support tasks. Being the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, you will be responsible for providing courteous reception and administrative support, including rostering of the staff at the facility

  • Facilitate communication with residents and / or their families and staff in relation to office administration requirements.
  • Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day activities of the office ensuring administrative, clerical and reception services are provided to the residents, visitors and staff.
  • Provide timely and effective support to managers.
  • Efficient and effective maintenance of document and data storage.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or aged care setting.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
