Job summary

SA Health in Barmera, SA, seeks an Administration Officer to provide confidential, customer-focused administrative support to patients, staff and visitors across hospital reception and residential aged care.

You will maintain data and records across health and business systems while working as part of a supportive RMCLHN team in the Riverland region. This permanent full-time role offers flexible work arrangements and a commitment to an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

  • Deliver friendly, professional and confidential customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external clients.
  • Manage appointments, enquiries, reception duties and correspondence efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support, including word processing, records management, room bookings and office supplies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy records while ensuring confidentiality, compliance and data quality.
  • Promote a safe, respectful and positive workplace through teamwork, cultural awareness and continuous quality improvement.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven administrative, clerical, computer, word processing, data entry and records management skills.
  • Health service experience and knowledge of medical records, terminology, client databases, relevant legislation and Microsoft Office are highly desirable.
