Job summary

Yancoal Australia is seeking an Administration Assistant for the Open Cut Mine in Mudgee, NSW. This part-time role (Mon and Fri) is on a maximum-term basis until December 2027, reporting to the Mine Manager – Open Cut. You will support the site team with daily administrative tasks and data entry.

The position requires prior admin experience, strong computer skills (MS Office & SAP), and a focus on safety. Join a team delivering essential mining operations with a family-friendly regional

Qualifications

• Experience in a relevant administrative position.

Responsibilities

• Compile and accurately enter production data from the Open Cut operation promptly.
• Process time sheets for the Open Cut Mining team.
• Create purchase orders and assist with invoice approvals.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide multi-tasking support to the Mining team and assist with other admin tasks.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Open Cut Mine is currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis, working Monday’s and Friday’s, on a maximum-term basis until December 2027.

Reporting to the Mine Manager – Open Cut, you will provide administrative support to the site team and assist with the coordination of day-to-day administrative activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Compile and accurately enter production data obtained across the Open Cut Mining operation in a timely manner.
• Process time sheets for Open Cut Mining team.
• Create purchase orders and assist with the approval of invoices for payment in accordance with site procedures.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Utilise a high level of administration and multi-tasking skills to provide valuable support to the Mining team.
• Additional administrative tasks as required.
