ISLHD's Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Acute Geriatric Unit (4 South). You will deliver high-quality nursing care to older adults with complex needs, perform comprehensive assessments, and contribute to care plans and outcomes.

A collaborative, evidence-based approach underpins the role. You will support patients with dementia and mobility challenges, provide education to families, and help drive safety, quality improvement and staff mentoring within a progressive

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
Experience in geriatric or acute care settings preferred.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to older adults with acute and complex health needs.
Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
Collaborate with medical, allied health, and nursing teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Support patients with dementia, delirium, frailty, and mobility challenges.
Provide education and support to patients, carers, and families.
Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
Mentor and support junior staff and students within the clinical environment.
