Job summary

American International Group, Inc. is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for its MGA pricing and profitability team in Australia. The role supports pricing, monitoring and portfolio assessments across MGAs in Australia and New Zealand, collaborating with underwriters, distribution and finance.

The ideal candidate holds an actuarial or quantitative degree, has general insurance experience, and is proficient in Python/R/SQL with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative degrees.
• Prior general insurance experience.
• Experience with programming languages Python, R or SQL is advantageous.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing, portfolio management and profitability assessments for MGAs.
• Develop or refine pricing/rating models and technical raters using advanced analytics.
• Assist with due diligence analyses for new MGA opportunities and engage with underwriters and MGAs.
