Job summary

Churches of Christ Fair Haven Residential Aged Care Service in Hervey Bay, QLD is seeking an Acting Hospitality Team Leader to coordinate catering, kitchen operations, cleaning and laundry, ensuring nutritious meals and a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You will lead hospitality staff and volunteers, manage stock and food safety compliance, and align with regulatory standards while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Chef trade qualification or equivalent hospitality experience.
• Experience in hospitality, catering or food service operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards.
• Leadership or team coordination experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available).
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meal preparation and ensure menus meet residents’ dietary requirements.
• Oversee kitchen, laundry and cleaning operations in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage stock ordering, rotation and quality control.
• Support compliance with food safety and aged care accreditation standards.

About the Opportunity

As a Hospitality Team Leader with Churches of Christ Fair Haven Residential Aged Care Service in Hervey Bay, you'll play an important role in coordinating hospitality service that make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents.

In this role, you will lead and coordinate hospitality services including catering, kitchen operations, cleaning and laundry to ensure residents receive nutritious meals and a safe, welcoming environment.

What you'll be responsible for

• Coordinate meal preparation and ensure menus meet residents’ dietary requirements
• Oversee kitchen, laundry and cleaning operations in line with regulatory standards
• Manage stock ordering, rotation and quality control
• Support compliance with food safety and aged care accreditation standards
• Lead and support hospitality staff and volunteers to promote a positive and collaborative team culture
• Maintain a high standard of service delivery for residents and staff

About You

You are an experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality catering and hospitality services in an aged care environment. Organised and collaborative, you are committed to food safety, compliance and creating a positive experience for residents and staff.

You'll ideally bring
