St Francis Xavier's Catholic Primary School Arncliffe is seeking an Acting Assistant Principal for the K-6 cohort to lead teaching excellence and foster ongoing staff development within a Catholic educational framework.

The role is full-time and temporary, aimed at supporting 311 students while collaborating with the parish and Sydney Catholic Schools to shape strategic direction and improve student outcomes.

About the Role

As Assistant Principal, you will lead teaching excellence, foster staff development, and build a strong school community. You will need excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Requirements of the role:

• postgraduate or Master’s in Leadership, Religion, Theology, or Education
• ability to drive a high-performance, improvement-focused school culture
• able to lead with Gospel values and contribute to the Church’s mission
• experienced in overseeing staff induction, development, and performance
• promote religious leadership and parish partnerships
• an exemplary classroom practitioner with the ability to model and lead effective teaching and learning strategies
• skilled at strengthening school and system-wide networks
• the requirements of (Category E) in the Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term
• experience leading school-wide Positive Behaviours for Learning practicesexperience or qualifications in Diverse Learning (essential)
• experience in Gifted education and EALD (desirable).
