Job summary

Holy Family Catholic Primary School Menai in Sydney’s Catholic education system is seeking an Acting Assistant Principal (K-6) to lead teaching excellence and staff development across a large, multi-stream school serving 833 students.

The successful candidate will promote Gospel values, build a strong school community, and drive improvement while managing a temporary, full-time position under 12-month parental leave.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or Master’s in Leadership, Religion, Theology, or Education.
• Ability to drive a high-performance, improvement-focused school culture.
• Lead with Gospel values and contribute to the Church’s mission.
• Experienced in overseeing staff induction, development, and performance.
• Promotes religious leadership and parish partnerships.
• An exemplary classroom practitioner with the ability to model and lead effective teaching and learning strategies.
• Skilled at strengthening school and system-wide networks.
• The requirements of Category E in Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term.
• Experience leading school-wide Positive Behaviours for Learning practices.
