About the role
The ACMA is seeking high-performing and innovative HR professionals to join our Human Resources team at the Executive Level 1. Through this process, we are looking to establish a merit pool to fill current and future vacancies across a range of HR functions within ACMA over the next 18 months. These may include work, health and safety; strategic business partnering; payroll; workforce reporting; workplace relations; L&D; inclusion and performance.
We currently have immediate vacancies for:
Assistant Manager, Payroll, Systems and Reporting
Lead a small team responsible for delivering payroll services, HR systems administration and workforce reporting for the ACMA and eSafety. This role plays a critical part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, maintaining workforce data integrity, supporting organisational reporting obligations and driving continuous improvement in HR systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the review, development and implementation of employment related policies and procedures, the provision of clear, practical, and defensible workplace relations advice on complex queries related to the APS employment framework and conditions of employment. The role leads a small team through matters relating to the ACMA Enterprise Agreement, integrity and conduct, public interest disclosures and the National Child Safety Principles.

Across all EL1 HR roles, you will lead projects and initiatives, build strong stakeholder relationships, drive business improvements and contribute to strategic workforce outcomes while leading and developing a high-performing team.
