Job summary

Growthpoint Properties Australia is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join its Melbourne-based finance team in a permanent, full-time capacity. Qualifications

• 1–3 years in accounts receivable, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily banking and month-end deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bank receipts and payments to correct invoices, tenant accounts and properties.
• Reconciling daily receipts across bank accounts, property management system and general ledger.
• Investigate unidentified or unapplied cash and process tenant refunds and account adjustments.
• Monitor aged receivables and follow up overdue balances with the Property team.
• Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and investigate account discrepancies.
• Respond to tenant enquiries professionally and help resolve billing disputes.
• Prepare daily cash collection reporting and regular aged receivables analysis.
• Complete month-end accounts receivable reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation for audit and control.
• Identify opportunities to simplify or automate processes and support reporting improvements.

Growthpoint Properties Australia | Melbourne | Permanent, full-time Growthpoint Properties Australia is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join its Melbourne-based finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring tenant receipts are allocated accurately and promptly, tenant accounts are maintained correctly, and overdue balances and payment queries are followed up in a timely manner. You’ll also work closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls, streamline processes and improve the efficiency of accounts receivable activities.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Operational Controller, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the finance function, with responsibility spanning cash allocation, reconciliations, arrears management, reporting and month-end activities. Beyond the day-to-day, Growthpoint is looking for someone who is proactive and improvement-focused. You’ll have the opportunity to identify recurring issues, challenge existing processes constructively and contribute to systems, reporting and process improvements.

Your work will include

• accurately allocating bank receipts and other payments to the correct invoices, tenant accounts and properties

What You’ll Bring

You’ll ideally have 1–3 years’ experience in accounts receivable, preferably within real estate or property management, and be comfortable working in an environment where accuracy and deadlines matter.

You’ll Also Bring

• strong attention to detail, particularly when working with high-volume payments
• experience with property management software, with Yardi highly desirable
• strong Microsoft Excel skills and an interest in automation and reporting improvement
• clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
