Job summary

Kelly+Partners Griffith is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Accountant for a remote role. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and contribute to advisory work while working with Partners and a experienced team.

The role offers CA program support, postgraduate study avenues, and exposure to ongoing professional development in a collaborative Griffith-based firm that values knowledge sharing and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years’ experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• Working towards or planning to commence CA Program.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience with APS accounting software is highly regarded.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Remote work experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners to ensure timely client work.
• Lead preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts.
• Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Be coached by a Partner to manage a diverse client portfolio.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Offer exceptional service to clients and participate in seminars and meetings.
• Train and support junior team members.

The Opportunity

Position Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
• Take lead in the preparation Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
• Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
• Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
• Offer support and training to junior team members

About You

• Minimum of 2-3+ years’ experience in a Chartered Accounting practice
• Working towards, or planning to commence, the CA Program
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Previous experience working remotely highly advantageous
• Solid technical accounting knowledge, or a genuine eagerness to build it
• Experience with APS accounting software (highly regarded)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, motivated and genuinely keen to learn, grow and develop professionally
